We wanted to say how grateful we all are for your support. We have obviously known you for many years now and have a built a lovely relationship with you, which has lead to 6 of us currently being enrolled with yourself including myself on different qualifications.

I am so proud of how well the qualifications are going and I feel we owe you a thank you for that, although we are all based in the same nursery, you make sure you go out of your way to support us all and adapt the way you deliver the qualifications to suit all our needs.

One staff member in particular only felt confident signing up for a higher qualification (which she is more than capable of achieving) as she had built such a lovely relationship with yourself, without that relationship with yourself I’m unsure she would have had taken that leap, which has now led to her also taking on a new role within the nursery.

So far, we have found Eurosource to be a good company. They are effective in their communication with both myself and the apprentices. The apprentices have found that the coursework they are set is manageable and are expected to complete it within reasonable time achieving goals. Rosy Cheeks Nurseries Ltd always offer full support to the apprentices and accommodate any phone calls/visits from tutors when necessary.

We have found having apprentices valuable to our company as they are able to apply their newly acquired skills and knowledge to their job role, alongside the in-house training that we provide as a company. Once qualified, we are often able to offer a permanent position within the company.

We have 5 nursery sites across Derby and Derbyshire and have apprentices in all of these. We find having an apprentice enables us to be an integral part of training the workforce of tomorrow. We work in partnership with Eurosource to ensure we develop the best practitioners we can.

Benefits of having an apprentice:

Having apprentices enables us to develop our own workforce and enhance their skills and knowledge whilst they work alongside colleagues. We develop good working relationships through having the apprentices on site and carrying out the role throughout their training. It also gives qualified staff members the chance to upskill their own continued professional development and support colleagues.

How you find the experience of having an apprentice:

It can be challenging, as an employer you are responsible for training and developing the apprentice along with the training provider. However, it is hugely rewarding to be part of this process, bring an apprentice on board and then nurture and support them throughout. You then benefit from having a qualified practitioner fully embedded in your practice at the end.
